Golden Lion Tamarin: An example

On assignment for World Animal Protection

Responsible Tourism Project documented in 2017

The Golden Lion Tamarin is one of the few species in the world to have successfully recovered from the red list of species in danger. The case is an example because scientists reintroduced groups of the species that were in zoos in other countries and brought them back to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I followed World Animal Protection and documented how the Golden Lion Tamarin Association keeps the efforts to make the species recover as well as educate tourists and audiences with their Responsible Tourism Project, where small groups of tourists accompany scientists on their daily observational walks. See a video of the project in the videos section.
