Hurricane Otto assistance documented in 2016

Upala, Costa Rica. Many families thought Hurricane Otto wouldn't land in Costa Rica, the country had been blessed by years without one harming the country. But in the middle of the night, the river that borders Upala was on neighbors' houses. Quickly a few of them woke up by their dogs barking, others put themselves at danger to protect their pets. As many families do in these situations, people are whiling to risk their own lives to save their pets and animals. On assignment for World Animal Protection documenting the medical assistance and food delivery to animals affected in the area.
