Costa Rica Animal Selfies Campaign

World Animal Protection campaign together with the Costa Rica Ministry of Energy and Environment. 

The campaign #stopanimalselfies was joined effort of World Animal Protection together with Costa Rica's Ministry of Energy and Environment, the Tourism Institute, local and international organizations, and private companies. In 2017 World Animal Protection released the results of a study that placed Costa Rica as the 7th country in the world with most wildlife selfies on social media. The campaign was aimed to educate international tourists and locals to avoid paying for selfies with wild animals as it's prohibited by law on the country. The slogan pointed out that stuffed animals liked selfies, and the reals ones did not.
